Switch to Silent / Quiet Mode #133

It seems some newer models do not allow to set certain parameter settings like silent-mode by an auxiliary controller. It is currently not clear whether we can somehow put the auxiliary controller mode into installer mode to allow such settings, or that it is just not possible at all. |

Hi Arnold thanks for Feedback. I've also one discovery, if I set it manual in the installer menu to most quiet the following parameters I can read out: Oh or could I help somehow to trace some communication data do discover how the communication is done from the control panel to do reverse engineering? |

The /C/9/ info is taken from the communication from main controller to the aux controller, and is apparently missing in your situation. The /S/0/ info is taken from the communication from the main controller to the indoor unit and is thus working. There is also a Quiet_Mode in /S/0/ info: Not sure how we can find out if/how the aux controller can be set into installer mode. The only info we currently know is that byte 4 in packet 000031 indicates if the main controller is in installer mode. Perhaps byte 4 in the answer packet 400031 could request installer mode for the auxiliary controller but that is a wild guess. We'd need to monitor a system with 2 (Madoka) controllers where the 2nd controller is manually put into installer mode. |

Thanks for the offer - [ wrong statement deleted ]. But perhaps wait a day or so, I just connected two wall room thermostats (not Madoka, but older EKRUCBL1s) on my system to see if I can derive more information. |

So I updated my wall room controller EKRUCBL1 to the newest software and just released v0.9.55rc3 (upgrade of both P1P2Monitor and P1P2MQTT-bridge) which now enables the bridge to switch between normal user mode, advanced user mode, and installer mode, at least on my system. It is still possible for me to change quiet_mode in all user modes. The bridge can only be put into installer mode if the main controller itself is not in installer mode. This was only tested using my EKRUCBL1 and hybrid system, not yet on Madoka/newer systems. It would be interesting to see if you can put your bridge into installer mode and whether that allows you to monitor and control quiet-mode settings. If it does not work, it would be interesting to have hex logs of the bridge in installer mode while you do the quiet_mode/level changes manually. v0.9.55rc3 also has the extra Quiet_Mode_Active output. |

Hi Arnold, Here is the Telnet Log. I tried to switch L90, L91, L92 via MQTT. And I switched on the ControlPanel of the HeatPump from Normal Mode to Installer and Backwards. Should have been around 22:08:10 +/-30sec J13 |

Hi all, I tried to switch to silent mode via writing to Topic "P1P2/W" the value "E35000301" but my Daikin Altherma 3 Geo Heatpump EGSAX06DA9 does not react on the request wich means "P1P2/P/P1P2MQTT/bridge0/C/9/Quiet_Mode" sticks to "0"
But I write "E35004801" to activate the DHW_Boost this works fine. Just to check that writing generally works.
I can activate the quiet mode manual via the Installer Menu - this works as well.
Is this the wrong parameter for my heat pump or, any Idea what I can check?
Firmware I use: Firmware_images/P1P2Monitor-v0.9.54-Eseries-P1P2MQTT-bridge.ino.hex
