Quick idea: when you open or import a dataset and there is no data for a column for all rows (e.g. [230Th/232Th] for U-series, 208Pb/232Th for U-Pb), then automatically Hide that column in the Data Table and Report Settings Manager. Especially U-series data will have lots of redundant and rarely used columns that are still needed for completeness. For U-Pb, only LA-ICPMS measured 208Pb/232Th, and then only sometimes. This will mean that users don't have to scroll past these columns on import or go immediately to the Report Settings Manager.
