Error in stackoverflow.com / gmail.com

Using the chrome extension some Websites do not work anymore.

Example:
stackoverflow:

gmail reloads all the time...

Tried with several security options. Works never at my system.
(Mac os 10.6.8, latest chrome)

I can now reproduce the error on stackoverflow, it seems to be a security check executed via JS (strangley I had never seen this error before, even though the check seems to be in place since quite a long time).
Cannot reproduce the error on gmail, is it the same (alert popping up) or is the page "just" reloading permanently?
