Sync Exchange calendar

I have a Outlook calendar at outlook.office.com, given by my university.

How can I sync it in Etar?

The README says that sync with Exchange is supported, but I don't know how to do it.

Do I have to install the Exchange android app?

Honestly I don't understand how calendars work in Android.

Do I have to add an account in my Android phone for my Exchange account?

I tried to go in Settings -> Account and backup -> Manage accounts -> Add Account, but there is no Exchange or Outlook option. I guess there will be once I install the Exchange android app?

I would like to avoid installing proprietary app. I can obtain the URL of an ICS from outlook.office.com by "publishing" the calendar, but it doesn't work by adding it in Etar as a CalDAV, obviously.

How can I add it?

Found the answer

1. Download ICSx⁵ from F-Droid
2. From outlook.office.com, click on Wheel Icon -> Calendars -> Shared Calendars, in the "Publish Calendar" section obtyain a URL for the ICS of the calendar
3. Add the URL to ICSx⁵
4. Sync the calendar in ICSx⁵. This is very important or the calendar won't even show up in Etar. ICSx⁵ will ask for notifications and calendar permissions, grant them
5. The calendar shows up in Etar
