Run actuator line large wind farm simulations #102
Comments
We can start these later since they're so fast, this is the most urgent to start right now. |
@lawerenceccheung has a 25 turbine case running on Frontier. 🎉 |
Lawrence has these running. There are some disk issues and job crashes, so not as fast as we'd like. ETA for completing this task is June 15th or so. |
Still going as of 5/17. Doing another version (10 km x 10 km) that's running much faster, and hopefully in time for NAWEA abstracts. Slightly different wind conditions. We can compare both cases. |
Waiting in the queue currently (5/20). |
Still running (5/29). Keep resubmitting. |
Continue to run in the background. |
Continue to run. |
Update: 20km x 20km case with 25 ALM turbines now through 900 seconds. My goal is to get as much as possible, hopefully up to 1200 seconds at least. Lawrence |

These are running... |
Lawrence: haven't looked at results, but should interesting from a physics perspective, deep array effects, wake effects, etc. |
Still going, and have to post-process some results. We don't have to keep putting jobs together, and using that flexibility effectively. |
Lawrence is running these.
