Nate is building the FSI code on Summit as a separate HPC option.

Switched to a different include file for Summit. Now gone to test the hypre build. Still going without errors at this point. Fingers crossed. Build in progress.

Jon has been working on this today (5/14). Something strange happened: Trilinos installs a blank dir, but Nalu-Wind won't build. Jon is investigating and will try to figure out what happened to Trilinos. Jon has a configuration for Summit that seems to be working pretty well. He merged it into ExaWind manager. Now just working to resolve Trilinos build issues.

Jon is working on this, but not 100% yet. Phil and Jon figured out the bogus Trilinos issue. Now Jon is back to building on Summit, but when building we see errors. Trilinos is showing errors on Frontier. AMR-Wind is not building on Summit.

Phil: could filter output to get summary of real issues.

There were some changes to our spack layout that were causing additional slow downs to Jon's builds. He has a work around on it and is testing them on Summit and Frontier. Longer term solution is close.

Nate: haven't heard anything new on this from Jon today. Will check in on Monday and on slack.

Jon: still wrapped up in this thing. Have 2 pull requests to exawind-manager. 1 intended to merge. The mergeable one doesn't work for Summit though. Meticulous and taking days ... Pull request is up to build on Summit, but removes months of work that Phil has done.

There's some functionality that has been added that causes it to not build as expected on Summit with its GPUs. Kind of a roadblock to many important efforts.

Jon: may be done. Build works on Summit, but may need to be tested.

@ndevelder please run and test this.

Update: Derek Slaughter's OpenFAST-dev branch works on Frontier and I was to compile it along with exawind-fsi there. Still need to tweak the fsi inputs to make sure everything runs smoothly.
