User should have an option to minimize app to see today's weather and temperature by clicking on the top part of the weather panel. The same option is available on Mac weather app in the dashboard.

Can you elaborate. I'm not familiar with Macs (dashboard?).
You can hide the forecast to only have today's weather, but I guess that's not what you mean...

This option is present in Weather from the beginning but I have disabled it because doesn't look good.

Hah. I used a slightly older Weather build and tried the setting to hide the forecast.
Now I built the latest source, the option is gone, but the setting's still respected and I don't have a forecast anymore. :)
I have to delete my settings...

The function is there is only commented 3 lines to uncomment in the MainWindow.cpp.
The layout with some location + weather look awful without the forecasts.

I agree :)
But the idea is still valid. I may just be interested in today's weather of many locations. Having a more compact layout w/o forecast is useful. "Just" needs a good design. :)

If all my friends are vacationing in different remote exotic locations, I need to know that they at least have bad weather...
