More details. Does the Yahoo API support it? How should it work, considering there's no active connection between Weather and the Yahoo service, but data is only transferred on demand?
Probably a daily notification whenever you turn on Haiku something like "The temperature today is ___ and it is likely is be sunny". or incase of a drastic change like "Today is 15°C hotter than Wednesday".
Weather alerts would be useful when there is a serious condition (storm, etc) only.
There is a dedicated service for this (at least here in France) where they emit alerts for risks of high wind, floods, droughts, etc. These may justify an alert (with a configuragle level, here "yellow", "orange" or "red" alerts)
