What's the recommended way to parse YAML as your data? Is there a YAML extension?

I've been testing with YamlDotNet:

var deserializer = new DeserializerBuilder().Build();
var data = deserializer.Deserialize(yamlString);

var template = Handlebars.Compile(sourceText);
var resultText = template(data);

But Handlebars cannot understand this data object. I have to convert it to Dictionary<string, string> to get it to work.

Is there some functionality that helps with this? Or an extension similar to HandlebarsNet.Extensions.Json?
