Checklist

  • I have used the search function for OPEN issues to see if someone else has already submitted the same bug report.
  • I have also used the search function for CLOSED issues to see if the problem is already solved and just waiting to be released.
  • I have described the problem with as much detail as possible.
  • If the bug only to occurs with a certain paper, I will include its details.

Zotero version

7.0.5 32 bit

ZoTTS version

1.3.0

OS

Windows

OS (specific)

Windows 10

Steps to reproduce

Installed ZoTTS 1.3.0 on Zotero 7.0.5 32 bit on both Windows 10 and Windows 11 machines from .xpi file.

Expected behaviour

I believed there would be a play, pause, and stop button located in the top right near the search button in reader view. Everything else seems to work as intended.

Actual behaviour

After a thorough search through the plugin preferences and advanced Zotero settings, I could not find anything to change the UI to include the buttons. Apologies if I am missing something.

The plugin adds these buttons when a reader tab loads, however it may be the case that the reader opens before the plugin finishes initialising (especially if you close Zotero looking at a paper and not the library tab)

Does closing and reopening the tab fix the issue?

Does this occur consistently or just at startup?

Thank you for your extremely prompt reply. After starting up and restarting the reader tab, the buttons appear and function as intended. Thank you for your help!

Glad to hear it!

Yeah I've made a note that buttons sometimes don't appear on the first load, it's not a major bug but it's a bit annoying
