Request for Updated Compatibility Information #932

I second this and was also wondering if anyone had any random issues with plugins that require Vault as a dependency for 1.21 servers. It may just be a Spigot issue (I used Paper before, but they aren't updated to 1.21 yet), but I think Vault may have something to do with some stuff being broken (plugins that require Vault as a dependency). |
If you have a concrete doubt that something is wrong with vault, then the information necessary to debug the issue must be shared. However, it is unlikely that there is a bug with vault itself as otherwise we'd be flooded with more issues (at this point in time the amount of issue reports are on-par with previous releases). Instead, the dependent plugins themselves may be bugged. Also, FYI Paper has updated to 1.21 already, though it's experimental (do note that paper will not be much more unstable than spigot, but unlike spigot paper does actually treat stability as a more serious concern on that front - you shouldn't be using either in production especially without backups for the time being). |
I do not have any problems with Vault on any version I am using. I would just appreciate it if the information given in the distribution channels about compatible Minecraft versions was accurate. |
Hello,
I wanted to bring to your attention that Vault is a dependency for EssentialsX, and this applies not just to older versions of Minecraft but also to the latest ones. Vault works perfectly on these newer versions, but this compatibility isn’t currently reflected on the project page.
Given that Vault hasn’t been updated in a while, I often find myself hesitant when downloading it, thinking, "Oh no, not this old thing." It would be incredibly helpful if you could update the project page on Spigot to indicate support for the newest Minecraft releases or at least mention that they might be supported.
Additionally, it would be fantastic if the plugin could be added to Modrinth. They have a dedicated plugins section, and many people are now using Modrinth for their downloads. One reason being the Modrinth API allowing automated downloads/ updates.
