The https://simpleicons.org/ project offers neat SVG icons for popular brands.
Adding these to the "long list" of URL I frequent would make them more recognisable.

Also, when "sub" list (All JsFiddles, all gists, etc.) are reinstated, these icons could be used for each section also.
