Chinese IME double backspace

Is there an existing issue for this?

• I have searched this repository for an existing issue matching this description, and none exists. I understand this issue will be closed as a duplicate if this is not the case.

Reproduction steps (if known)

1. Type some text into the chat box
2. Activate Chinese IME
3. Type some more text(don't press enter or complete it)
4. Press backspace
5. Non-yellow already-typed characters are deleted along with yellow letters, effectively executing backspace twice
