Change username

I wanted to change the username on the forums (a year ago). Someone told me it's not possible and I think even after one year passed it's still an issue.

There are a lot of spots a user's username is in Ore, so those tables would need to be updated too.

Also, peoples usernames are in posts on the forums - username changes break @ references in Discourse, so I don't want to make changing usernames trivial, and it requires better support for "shadow" account which redirect to the new account. I don't want to permit people to change usernames, and then have a new account created with that username.

By default, Discourse only permits username changes for 3 days after the creation of an account.

Some forum staff can do this for you manually, on request.
