I suspect some of our historic or revised polygons may not have the correct boundary description. They might have the current boundary description for all the polygons, but to be really correct, we should have the boundary description that matches that specific revision. After we finish the history, let's assess this.

I have been trying to keep the correct boundary descriptions in each polygon, but especially with some of the larger AVAs with lots of revisions things can get messy very quick so I think it would probably be good idea to check all of the attributes. Eventually we may want to start making issues for checking AVAs with history, like we had for the original AVAs?

For ScrapeRevisionHistories.R :

  • Extract revisions and compare to current one to see if there were any changes.
  • Possible addition, using Actions to run the code and output the issues to fix

All boundary descriptions were checked for all Santa Lucia Highlands and Arroyo Seco revisions. See PR #877.
