Ideas concering usability

Hello,
so during our conversation, I got further than before.

Just some things I want to mention:

1. Sorry for the critique!
2. I started the whole thing with "python wa_kdbe.py 0 0" , now there was an error that the folder extracted/0 doesn't exist.
3. Also maybe mention that one has to copy paste the device name when prompted (possibility to automate it if only one device is connected?)

starting from point 3 I am currently working on that. Also I understand while geeking out for this project I unintentionally made this overwhelming.
Try with alphabets. Like python wa_kdbe.py qwer rschuppan

Another point maybe: (4) I dont think the user function /parameter is really necessary (functionality wise), it just adds a sprinkle of confusion.

Yes, thats true, but your tool already delivers a decrypted version. And AFAIK there is no working decryptor out there right now.

My point is: The only reason one needs this god forsaken key (I really hate it) is to get their msgstore.db decrypted.
But if one already gets a decryted copy WITH THE SAME TOOL, one doesn't need the key anymore.

Actually there are many decryptors. And some do work with termux (terminal emulator for android)

Yes, but I couldn't find one (excluding Termux) that works with current Android & WhatsApp.

I am working on that. Removing This all enter device. ToDo point 2. I will just use adb wait-for-devices and this will be enough as long as user doesn't remove it

Yeah I think thats a good idea. Just produces confusion and errors.
