fonts-dejavu is not installable and not included with basic installer ubuntu linux

as the fonts-dejavu repository has been deprecated and is incompatible(listed under known issues at this time) with ubuntu versions 20.00lts-22.04lts and as of the last posted fonts-dejavu status update all current updates are for debian exclusively.
and inorder for it to be automatically installed, or to even have a valid installation canidate it must have this not listed on the actual repository page:
There are no registered releases for the DejaVu Fonts ⇒ trunk.

Did you test with the latest update version?

Please provide steps to reproduce where possible

attempt to install other versions besides latest lts versions following instructions as advertised on latest lts version of ubuntu.

Expected Results

standard install with minimal headache

Actual Results

failure due to fonts dejavu being completely incompatible with the latest version of ubuntu or just somehow not bundles with the older installers anymore.

What Java Version are you using?

java version 10,11,12,13,14,15,16,17,18,20,21 jdk's and jre's

What is your operating system and platform?

Ubuntu 22.04.4 LTS desktop x64 on an older amd miniserver

How did you install Java?

ssh shell as server is headless

Did it work before?

yes. what chanced is for some reason it cannot install fonts dejavu on ubuntu 22.04 lts

Did you test with other Java versions?

yes. both default jre, microsoft open jdk and jre, and several newer and older jre and jdk versions. from 10 down its broken/ incompatible with the fonts-dejavu either being missing or broken.
