Download and import the Solarized theme from https://github.com/tomislav/osx-terminal.app-colors-solarized. Download the file, right click it and hit open. Then when it says it cannot be verified by MacOS click open again. In Terminal preferences, select Profiles, then Solarized. Choose Default at the bottom of the profile selection window. Be sure to choose a font that is PowerLine enabled or it will still look wrong.
