With a standard install of this plugin, calls to the_excerpt when using nearly any non-WooThemes theme result in full text being displayed. Disabling the plugin, reveals standard summary text display.
Commenting out the three related hooks to “1.2 Ensure the Dropcap shortcode content is parsed in excerpts” in admin-shortcodes.php also fixes this issue.
It appears the drop cap filters are breaking things in non-WooThemes themes.

Thank you @jas8522 . You saved me from playing with the code and finding out why my RSS feeds show full text instead of the excerpt. My theme otherwise showed the excerpt normally and only the RSS feeds were affected :)
Maybe the author should remove dropcap entirely. I don't think many used it. WooShortcodes for me are only important for the buttons, toggles and info boxes. They where really good looking when I added them and then Woo betrayed me by not updating Canvas theme to the next version after many many promises. I've also edited the plugin slightly to use the same FontAwesome icons there instead of the outdated looking images that this plugin uses.
