this should also be very prominent if there are no visible results for your query and they are all hidden

a clear issue that would come up is people joining the site, expecting to see something a bit suggestive that they're used to seeing by default on other sites, and there just being no results for it at all.
this is my fix for that, make it very very clear when things are being hidden, and make it a straightforward process to temporarily or permanently disable those blocks

another fix for this would be to leave the content warnings setting on "blur" by default, but i don't like the feel of that too much
