Requirements

  • At least 3 years of software development management experience, or 5+ years of hands-on experience in software engineering (preferably with JavaScript or Java).
  • Proven track record in leading teams, managing projects, and delivering software solutions.
  • Japanese proficiency (N2 or higher, ideally N1).
  • Fluency in English (spoken, written, and listening skills).

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Development Team: Guide engineers through task prioritization and project execution, serving as the technical lead for software development efforts. Act as a bridge between the Vietnamese engineering team and the Japanese development department.

  • Software Development: Design, develop, and maintain document capture software that integrates with multifunctional devices. Some modules will be implemented as plug-ins to MFPs.

  • Debugging & Evaluation: Conduct debugging and evaluation of software using actual devices or simulators to ensure functionality and performance meet expectations.

  • Quality Assurance: Take ownership of the software’s quality by ensuring it meets coding standards and technical specifications, while addressing any issues that arise during development.

  • Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and quality assurance processes of the project, ensuring timely delivery and high standards.
