Compatibility between Otel instrumentation library and ADOT.

Hi,

I'm not sure how to check whether an application instrumented with Otel instrumentation library version x is compatible with an ADOT collector version y. I know both must abide by OTLP so there must be a protocol versioning check somewhere.
