Make classes that hide an element if it is the first/last child and if it's inside the first/last child. That would be something like this:

  • .hide-first: hides if it's the first child;
  • .hide-last: hides if it's the last child;
  • .hide-in-first: hides if it's inside the first child;
  • .hide-in-last: hides if it's inside the last child.
