This comes as a feature request which shall extend discussion #300.
Currently, when the sync is ran and netbox already has info, the IP addresses get unassigned on the VM's that are offline and the VM's that don't have VMware tools installed.
IMO if the VM is offline or doesn't have vmware tools, the IPs/interfaces and other info shouldn't get tempered with, meaning that if the VM comes up again there is a risk for IP address duplication due to these changes.
The proposal is to add a configurable option to disable the IP Address sync if the VM does not have Vmware tools installed, or if the VM is offline. As suggested by @bb-Ricardo on the discussion.
