It would be nice to add a quick explanation of how the extension works, especially for something a bit hacky, installable manually

I'm not in a suspicious state of mind like OP is, rather pleasantly surprised, and genuinely wondering : how does this work ? How come a client-side mod can bypass the platform's restrictions ? Thanks

Chromium based browser

Download the latest release in the releases section or clone the repo.

You have to install the extension manually:

Go in manage extension (chrome://extensions/ in chrome)
Make sure Developer mode is enabled
Hit Load unpacked extension and select the unzipped folder of the extension.

If you use Chromium (not Chrome), you can pack the extension to get a .crx file you can drag & drop inside extensions page (which removes the need to have a dedicated directory for the extension on your hard drive)

Unzip the extension
In the parent directory of the extension, run the following command : chromium --pack-extension=TwitchNoSub
Drop the created crx file in the extensions page of your browser

Firefox

Download the latest .xpi file in the releases section.

Drag and drop the xpi file on Firefox
Click on "Add" in the little confirmation popup

@elgatov an issue for you, too bad you're not

fluent in javascript

i am not the one that opened the issue, you are really dense

also, only HornWilly contributed anything to the code. the rest of you are gatekeeping the poor guy for asking questions. absolute clownfiesta

it's also rich coming from you when you are literally asking for code help in userscripts

@elgatov -He eats the bait and seriously getting mad
That's not even the same context as you, who's getting really mad at the simple words.
What a clown.
