KeePass 2.45: re-install no solution for the "incompatible version" bug #45
Comments
Hi, I currently struggle with the same problem. I am using KeePass 2.45 since a couple of weeks and starting today, I get the same error. Considering that I haven't changed or updated anything KeePass related etc. it could be related to the operating system - who knows if there were some recent changes in Windows 10 that changed or broke something for me. I will test the issue on some other devices later. Edit: Best |

In my case the problem has been the deployment by chocolatey. The powershell-script downloaded the zip file from here, but when copying the extracted files to keepass installation folder, it converted the filenames to lowercase ("keechallenge.dll" instead of "KeeChallenge.dll"). Just renaming this file to CamelCase solved my problem. It works also with version 2.47. |
Hi,
as the title says, I'm am using KeePass version 2.45. After working flawlessly for a couple of days, suddenly I got the error message "The following plugin is incompatible with the current KeePass version..." on startup and wasn't able to log in my Yubikey-encrypted database any more.
I tried to reinstall KeePass after deinstalling and cleaning all related folders - to no effect. Neither worked installing the portable version instead of the regular.
Are there any other approaches to solve this I could try?`
Thanks in advance for your help!
Best regards!
