Hi there @cdump

I came across this fork when exploring github.

I like some of the ideas that you have incorporated and would love to merge them upstream.
More specifically the auto generation script.

There is one thing that has stopped me so far when it comes to auto generation and that is the ability to have overrides and custom matchers.

Most of the contributions upstream on ranger-devicons have been language specific exact matches.

As such I was wondering if you would be interested partnering and getting some of your changes upstream (and available to a bigger audience) and driving continued enhancements on a single project.

More specifically I want to explore in addition to auto generation, custom user defined matchers and I18n.

Let me know your thoughts.

Hi!

I think it's a good idea and I will be happy to merge our projects.

I thought about custom user icons (and other configurable things, like on/off ls -F like symbols), but didn't find good way to pass configurable params - do you think custom config file (like ~/.config/ranger/devicons.conf) would be right place to that?
