DSub Chromecast app not able to connect to a server behind an HTTPS basic auth reverse proxy #1153

I use an HTTPS reverse proxy with basic auth to protect my Airsonic Advanced server. DSub works great with this on the phone, but it's unable to play media when casting. It begins a Chromecast session but the CC app just blasts through the tracks instead of playing anything.

This issue seems similar: xbmc/chorus2#273

Is it a non-starter to use basic auth with the Chromecast?

sounds like your router doesn't support NAT hairpinning when inside your LAN. have you tried DSubs "Local network address/SSID" feature? it works around that problem

The same occurs outside the LAN.
