I and others I know are experiencing the same issue, but not consistently or predictably. Any guidance appreciated.
When multiple files are in the queue, a song will finish playing. Visually, there is the indication that the next track has started and continues to play; however, no audio is produced by the device. "Skipping" back to start the track again results in everything functioning normally.
This has been observed on Pixel and Samsung phones.
It occurs on device playback and bluetooth playback (though not on Android Auto playback).
It occurs on Airsonic 10.x and Airsonic Advanced.
It has occurred on different metal with distinct Ubuntu Server VMs. (I forget if it started before I switched to a VM from a bare-metal Ubuntu Server instance.
It seems to have started maybe a year ago. Perhaps an Android OS update that deprecated some playback aspect?
Anyone else experiencing this?

I have the same issue on my new Pixel 8a, Android 14 (GrapheneOS), DSub 5.5.3.
Another issue (possibly unrelated) that I got on this phone is Bluetooth audio stuttering (barely noticeable but regularly appearing clicks and pops). I will file a separate issue once I gather more details.
Both issues were not present on my previous phone, Pixel 3a, Android 14 (LineageOS), DSub 5.5.3.
