Chatbox text is not saved when user is directed to login

As the title states, if one types out a message in the chat box while they are not logged in, they are prompted to login. After completing the login process through one of the providers available, their message is cleared. It would be ideal if the message is retained in the cookie or localstorage so that it may be saved throughout the login process, and available to be sent, or, automatically sent, after the login process is completed.
