I believe it could be useful to add Awesome's linter to the project, it should not only help with formatting but also with broken links.
This can easily be added through Travis CI with no cost.
On the other hand, I think the list could benefit from moving from the manual contributor list to a more standardized All Contributors list, the bot should make it much easier to recognize everyone directly in the README.
Both need to be installed by someone with write access to the repo.
