I'm trying the workbench but I can't align the parts for some reason:

you may find my files here. Thanks for your support in advance.

hi @Foadsf
I can replicate the issue and it is related to the Body container, not to colinear vectors.
If you make a simple copies of your objects, the aligner will work fine with them.
I'm going to see if I can find how to fix it.
Thank you for reporting.

A deeper look inside the files is pointing out that the issue is related to the use of Shapebinder; that is not taken in account atm. I will have a look at.

Anyway, for complex model assemblies I would suggest to use a different approach:

  1. with Arch wb
  • import in a new doc the external references Pocket & Fillet from arm2 file
  • align them with Aligner tools
  1. with A2p wb
  • proceed similarly as above, creating two files referencing 'Pocket' and 'Fillet'
  • then align the imported files with A2p tools

@Foadsf
this is the Arch approach file.
arm2-linked-aligned.zip
I have my reference file in C:\Temp\arm2.FCStd
You would need to change the absolute path in the 'Data' 'Reference' field
