Track sharing also for channel-based beds?

We've been discussing this earlier and you've provided a solution already (e.g. #211).
However just now I wonder if and how it's also possible to use different gain levels for channel-based beds?
I think that's a fairly common use case, e.g. when trying to provide a IT/ME bed with extra levelling in a AD related audioProgramme.
Any hints on that, please?
