Measurement Spikes?

I'm watching my electric heat (emergency heat) circuit. I've got strange spikes that I can't account for and I'm wondering if it's a hardware/software problem I'm looking at on the emporia. Those midday spikes are 1 hour apart (give or take a minute). Anyone have any idea what I'm looking at? |

I was able to ask an HVAC technician about this. Come to find out, a heat pump heating system calls for a "defrost" cycle on regular intervals when it's cold. So this 45 second spike is the heat pump defrosting. |
