my EmporiaVue2 keeps connecting to the internet

After resetting my entire network, seperating LAN, IOT and NOT I discovered that my freshly flashed EmporiaVue2 is trying to connect frequently to the internet. Any idea where this is coming from?

see the attached firewall log, basicallyh 1 attempt every 6/7mins.

I have added my internal NTP server IPs and indeed the "weird" lookups have stopped.
