No serial data received

I was in the process of backing up the firmware and it got to 94% and said there was an error.

Now I constantly get the No serial data received and cannot get it to read or write to the firmware. I have tried booting it back up and it won't connect to wifi or anything. It still shows the light, and when I try the RTS + DTR it will beep, but only after I get the No serial data received warning on that serial port.

Is my device bricked, or is there some way to bring it back from the dead? I haven't tried a new TTL, but a new one is in the mail.

I finally received a new USB to Serial adapter (https://amzn.to/448VB3E) and it worked flawlessly. It is USB-C and has the RTS and DTR pins, so flashing was quick and easy. Glad the ESP32 wasn't bricked!
