After implementing a widget with an embedded iframe, it appears that 90% of the time it refuses to acknowledge interactions. Interestingly, hover events in the iframe still work, but the click events on buttons and forms are not registered and 'pass through' to the desktop. I have added accessibility permissions and tried some hacky solutions, but nothing seems to consistently work.
One interesting note is that when the preferences panel is open, the widget works perfectly. This suggests to me this has something to due with the app being in the foreground or background in macos.
