Per my understanding AWS standard EC2 instancesEC2 instances don’t sup don’t support nested virtualization, so we have to use bare metal instances to run firecracker-containerd in kubernetes. Is it correct?

It is correct that you have to use bare metal instances to run firecracker-containerd.

However, firecracker-containerd is also not CRI conformant, so does not work with kubernetes today. There is an open issue #88 to track conformance.
