Arbritrary audio output in OC2?

Original OC computers can beep for a set duration and frequency. Does OC2 already have that or something more? If not, would it be possible?

I think it would be pretty interesting what people will do with a more generalized computer architecture in Minecraft and music or audio stuff other than the sound card thing.

It only play pre-made sounds so it's not really arbitrary.

There is an audio codec called DFPWM that Computronics and CC Tweaked mods use. It allows you to play user-uploaded sounds.

There is a virtio-audio device now in VirtIO specification, so it should be possible to implement it on the Sedna/OC2-server side without fully emulating a real audio card.

We'd have a PCM stream which should be somehow retransmitted to all the clients connect to the game server.
