Please provide as much information as you can:

  • GO term ID and Label
GO:1901004 ubiquinone-6 metabolic process (0 direct annotations)
    |_GO:1901006 ubiquinone-6 biosynthetic process (4 EXP annotations by SGD)
    |_GO:1901005 ubiquinone-6 catabolic process (0 annotations)
  • Reason for deprecation Put an x in the appropriate box:
  • The reason for obsoletion is that the data from the paper for which the term was requested can be accurately described using [appropriate GO term].
  • "Replace by" term (ID and label)
    GO:0006744 ubiquinone biosynthetic process

  • Are there annotations to this term?

  • see above
  • Are there mappings and cross references to this term? (InterPro, Keywords; check QuickGO cross-references section)
    No

  • Is this term in a subset? (check the AmiGO page for that term)
    No.

  • Any other information
    S. cerevisiase makes ubiquinone-6, but other taxa make ubiquinone-10, ubiquinone-8 etc and we don't have terms for those. We don't want to make a bunch of taxa-specific BPs, so better just to have a single "GO:0006744 ubiquinone biosynthetic process" that can be used across the board.
Also see ubiquinone biosynthesis process clean up #29313
