I have been asked by the Elixir focus group to provide a short statement about curation training as part of a "gap analysis" for the Elixir training platform.
I first looked at the ISB curation training materials and was surprised to see no GO curation training materials listed.

I looked on the GO website, and I can't find any links to curation training materials. When I search on training I get these 3 overlapping results:

Where do we point people for general GO curation training material and should this be linked from the GO website?

Also could the training material be added to the ISB biocuration training materials web page?

Hi @ValWood,

We did make a decision not to put training materials on the main public-facing website, with the expectation that anyone wanting to know that much detail would contact us or already be associated in some way. The main site is meant more as an intro for basic users. This can be revisited, but training materials are on the GO Shared Drive, with some older (possibly OOD) docs on the wiki. Right now the documentation is fairly piecemeal, but I will see if there is something we can provide to ISB.

Thanks for bringing this up.
