Ribbon is now able to show a profile for gene sets. That visualization of GO annotations just state the known functions of those genes but doesn't inform on any statistical relevance. Enrichment is there for that purpose. I like on the covid-19 page that we are bridging both the ribbon and the enrichment from a ribbon profile of gene set.
It could be useful to integrate a functionality within the ribbon, when displaying a gene set, to propose to enrich on that gene set.
Note: useless when showing orthologs, but useful for experimentally-derived gene sets
