Hey,
how can I learn how to create whit LITIEngine if doc is mostly empty, and there is next to nothing materials on website and yt? How did you sarted?

Right now, I'd say that it makes the most sense to learn the engine by example and from code. We have a few game projects that are publically accessible on GitHub.
Here are some resources for you to start:

As someone who is kind of new to litiengine, I would like to add that the best way that I found to get started was to follow the gurk nukem platformer tutorial found here:

and the source code is here:
https://github.com/gurkenlabs/litiengine-gurk-nukem
this tutorial is great because it shows you the general process of creating a game using litiengine beginning to end. However, the litiengine documentation page (as linked above), while still not complete, has more information now than it did when I found litiengine 1-2 months ago and I would highly reccomend checking it out. If you're new to litiengine, those resources should help get you oriented, andI hope that my tiny bit of experience was able to help you out. Thanks.

The game is really good, and covered almost everything we need.
but it can't be compiled with 0.5 engine. Is there any plan to update it with a new engine?
I would like to help and try to copy some code from old engine but it doesn't works.
can you please let me know what I can do to make this game works on the newest engine?

Hi,
with the open-source LDJAM games, we have decided to lock them to a specific engine version so that we don't need to keep updating them everytime something in the engine changes.
If you want to update one of our older games to the latest engine version, I recommend checking the release notes for all engine releases since the game release. The release notes always describe API changes, which should be helpful.
If you have any concrete questions on how to migrate certain method calls etc., feel free to ask!

Hi.. so I'm also wondering how to start using litiengine.. a simple step by step tutorial for a new java programmer.. where the libraries are, where all file structure needs to be, etc.. I'm using intelliJ IDEA and since I'm new to programming in general with java.. I'd like a comprehensive guide from you all of that's possible. Using linux. I even cloned the github examples and can't even get those to run.. please help. I'm lost.

Hello,
Getting Started doesn't work for me because I probably lack common detailed knowledge.
I started with Installation and Setup.

• Installed the proposed JDK
• Eclipse installed
• Download SDK
• Gradle downloaded, unpacked, environment set
• Editor not working, JRE 1.8 missing -> installed -> working
• Maven downloaded, unpacked, environment set
• In Eclipse I created a Java project and extended the folder structure.
  I can't do anything with the instructions Get LITIENGINE.
• What do I do with the content in the code windows?
• How do I configure Eclipse and integrate the SDK?
  I am an absolute beginner in this context.
  I assume that the basic installation must be up and running in order to be able to do something with the demo project GURK O NUKEM.
  Please help

Problem is solved using:
Download: gurk-nukem-master
Eclipse:
Import->Gradle->Gradle Project
Click Button NEXT
Click Button NEXT
Insert Source directory of litiengine-gurk-nukem-master
Click Finish
-> The demo is ready (to run and learn) :-)
