we should hold the hackathon somewhere
Current contenders:

  • HPCC
  • HCC closed Sunday
  • Umass

  • Space for sat/sun day
    • Wifi big consideration
    • Seats: HPCC has max cap 80 seat conference room
  • Space for Friday night
    • Rent different space for that
    • @Sequoia: "Going to a restaurant was cluster fun- let's rent a space or do drink tickets if we have to go to restaurant"
    • Gateway City Arts
      • They have fiber but no LAN infrastructure (or not for 100 people)
      • @Sequoia: "building a LAN is not undoable but is a significant logistical consideration. perhaps we could get in-kind sponsorship for this from some IT company (?)"
  • Space for presentations Sunday (?)
    • Ideally this would be same as work space -- work space not having 100 person capacity is the issue here.
