info on how to detect Covid-19 with this devices

Hello, I'm a maker, I'm trying to build several medical device in reaction of this crysis.
Yours seems very promising and interesting, as an engineer working with several fablab i believe i could manage to build one.
But since I'm not a medic, I wonder what is the process to detect the virus ?
Do you have a process which explain what is needed (chemical co;ponent, etc...) and how to make conclusion based on the results ?
