It's possible this project is a bit out of date. Think this is related to #3 at all?

I don't have plans to fix, but I welcome any pull requests. (I may "archive" this project now that GitHub offers that.)

I would appreciate a fix for this library too, I just found out this lib and it looks minimalist and straight to the point. Would appreciate a fix.

The exception is being raised because when returning from WM_CAP_SET_VIDEOFORMAT sendmessage returns 0 (Fail).
