Configuring a new computer

Desktop Environment

Gnome

• Install gnome-tweaks and restart DE
• Install Dash to Panel (provides fixed taskbar at bottom, like Windows)
  • If Issue #1963 has not been resolved, manually go and disable the default Ubuntu Dock extension in the Gnome extension manager
• Install ArcMenu (provides start menu)

Other Software

• For laptops / trackpads / etc. - install libinput (libinput-tools), and make sure to restart DE
• Install terminal app
• Install zsh
• Install Oh My Zsh
• Install asdf
• Install emote for a better Emoji picking experience
