Messages Tab not displaying any notifications

Is there something wrong with the Messages tab in the notifications menu? I see it is just supposed to filter off incoming messages, but I have never seen it populate.

There should be messages from telegram and discord

I always have both applications running but they never seem to have their notifications in that panel.
