EU Data Connectors list and status

Hi there,
Just came across the open-source release of Maybe Finance, which looks like a really neat dashboard, and as a self-hoster I'd love to give it a try. Living in France, I'd like to know before which EU banking aggregators are supported by the current implementation of Maybe. Parsing through the discussions and issues, I've seen mentioned this list:

• Tink
• Powens also mentioned in the tink discussion, used by Finary and lots of financial apps in France
• GoCardless
• Bridge

Is there any news or timeline for us EU users regarding extending data-connectors to one of the above connectors? I've seen mentioned in other issues or discussions that a rework had to be done before adding the ability to allow for more connectors (beside Teller which replaced Plaid/Finicity). Would love to hear more about it, and congrats on the great work!

@jo-chemla we do not currently support any of these live data connectors, and for self-hosted users, we will likely be very limited in our support (partially due to the lack of "individual" pricing options from many of these providers).

Long term, our intention with the hosted version of the app is to provide at least 1 major provider for both the US and EU. We'll likely be using Plaid in the US and there hasn't been anything finalized for EU yet.

As of right now, we're working hard on our manual data importing flows (via CSV) so that global, self-hosted users who do not have access to or do not want to connect with data providers can successfully use this app.

I'd personally rather rely on a single existing major provider for EU rather than having to import regularly CSVs exported from every finance/banking provider I use - around 15 apps and connectors/auto synchronizing. I've been a long-time user of multiple saving/finance/budgeting apps, one of the best recent one being Finary - in addition to WeSave Conseil or Grisbee which were great but stopped development, mostly for France.
But indeed I'd totally understand that some self-hosters would like to remove any potential middleman to get access for these data points.

Feel free to close this thread in case you'd rather focus on individual threads for each connector - but this could be a cool meta-thread for EU users to keep track of the progress regarding this feature. And thanks for the great work!

Yep, 100% agree that many users will require connectors and that will be a huge focus of our hosted app. Getting those manual flows right will help with data reliability and consistency when we add the providers, so it should benefit everyone in the long run!

What about 3rd party connectors?

For example, here in Israel I know there's this library that can fetch my financial data for free, and all I'm looking for is a fancy dashboard to display this data

There's firefly and all, but it wasn't great for me, but this project's UI seems interesting - so if 3rd party connectors or integrations are possible, that'll be awesome!

Think of it like home assistant's integrations - the community manages the big ones as a whole, and niche integrations can be created by anyone

@tomerh2001 I think for lesser known APIs like this, we would provide some sort of "plugin" ecosystem where community members could write "adapters" that would normalize the library's data to fit Maybe's expected data format.
