Default Currency for Accounts

Describe the feature

When setting up an account, it would be beneficial to have the option to select the default currency type for that account. This way, when entering transaction details, you won't need to change the currency every time.

Why is this feature important?

Having a default currency reduces the time and effort needed to enter transaction details, as I won't have to manually change the currency to what I use for each entry.

It simplifies the process for me, especially since I primarily operate in one currency for each of my accounts, and I believe most others do as well.

I think the newest update I pulled might have changed how currencies show in the dropdown menu from an alphabetical list to a random one (see screenshot).

Honestly, for things like currencies, especially since this is something we interact with a lot on the app, I think changing the input type from a dropdown list to a filtered/search list would greatly improve the experience of changing the currency type as well. This would make it faster and more convenient to find and select the desired currency.

@osaroadade definitely agree. We are already tracking the currency for each account, so this should be a relatively easy thing to implement. I've created an issue for it—feel free to comment on the issue if I've missed anything you'd like incorporated:
